Chilli Shaker

My daughter and I came to this restaurant for a meal after watching Pretty Woman. The poppadum and chutney tray were delicious! However, we were disappointed that there were no hot plates for our main sides. The half tandoori chicken was tasty, but the sides were not worth the price of £8.95 each. Additionally, a service charge was already included on the bill, but the waiter still had the audacity to ask if we wanted to leave a tip. This kind of ruined the experience for us.

The food portions were extremely small considering the price of each item on the menu. Additionally, the rice and main dish were served separately, leading to a higher overall cost for the meal. To make matters worse, some of the cooked lamb we ordered was served rare, making it impossible to eat. Overall, it was a terrible experience that I would not recommend to anyone.

Avoid this restaurant at all costs. A bottle of wine costs £27.95, and the toilets are unsanitary and hazardous to health. This place should be shut down immediately due to the health hazards it presents.

We had an evening at the theatre and were both hungry after the show, so after a short walk we found the Chilli Shaker, after a quick look at the menu we decided to go in and eat and were shown to a table by the window. It was late and wasn’t very busy but the decor was nice and the waiter was pleasant. We were handed drinks and food menus and after a few minutes we ordered both food and drinks. Our drinks order was brought over and later after a short while the food started to arrive, the food was well presented looked very good and tasted very nice. We only had drinks and a main meal and we really enjoyed the experience, it was reasonably priced and service was good and staff very polite and well dressed and we would happily return next time we are in the area.

Rude and abrasive staff. Under cooked onions in all balti dishes which isn’t right! Spent 25 minutes waiting to be served for drinks and then a further 5 minutes for dips to be provided for the poppadoms we ordered. Steer well clear!
