However, today the cashier rudely informed me that I would have to pay an additional £0.25 for the honey. The service was terrible and I will not be returning to this restaurant again.
Arriving at Bank Station to spend a day visiting various sites in the City we called into the nearby branch of EAT. All the usual wide range of foods are on offer, but for a centrally situated outlet, we were particularly impressed by the good space between tables. After an excellent break and fully sustained, we commenced our walking tour, with our visit much enhanced by the efficient and friendly staff.
Good location, fast service and probably one of the best bacon rolls in a ciabatta roll I have had. Stuffed full of bacon, freshly cooked, with a perfect coffee and a really convenient place not too busy with tourists etc. Good seating available, and a few chairs outside to cool off.
EAT is a simple concept, where you can buy a sandwich, bread roll, soup or salad, and usually something to drink. However, it was disappointing as the food lacked flavor and the shop was very dirty, with coffee spilled on the floor and no one clearing the tables. There were even two people standing around doing nothing. It's okay if you just want a quick bite for lunch or breakfast.
This is a really convenient spot in the City with a good amount of seating, which is rare in a lot of City cafes. Good selection of lunch options and no pressure to move on. Quite a few places with power outlets so great hot laptops or recharging thirst mobile devices.
