However, the noodles were delicious. The restaurant was crowded, but they served us quickly and expected us to eat and leave. We were in a hurry and knew what to expect. The bill came out to less than thirty pounds for lunch in central London. It is what it is.
I recently visited this restaurant and had a very strange and rushed experience. The staff initially gave us a menu, but then took it away and directed us to the main counter to place our order. However, when we tried to order from the menu, the staff insisted on us ordering pre-cooked food from the counter instead. It felt like they were pressuring us and were quite assertive about it. In the end, we only ordered one dish because we were not impressed with the service. Additionally, we were seated at a table with another couple in a cramped and dirty area. It seems that hygiene is not a top priority for this restaurant, which relies on customers from the nearby underground station.
Trust the reviews, the hand-pulled noodles are outstanding and incredibly flavorful at this restaurant. The service is best described as efficient, so don't expect a lot of smiles but do expect a satisfying meal. I ordered the fried char siu pork noodles and my daughter had the chicken soup noodles, both were delicious. The portions are generous so make sure to come hungry. The prices are reasonable, especially for a location in Chinatown/Leicester Square. I definitely plan on returning.
Incredibly speedy and delicious food. Go here instead of wok to walk across the Road! Keep returning, my fave quick eats spot.
Authentic, excellent. Not fancy! This was such a great experience. Food was authentic-noodles homemade and sliced freshly. Had Dan Dan in broth and it was excellent!
