Contribuisci feedbackI find it frustrating to say, but I must mention that I frequent Pod often. Their baguettes are delicious and their coffee is better than other popular high street brands. However, this is not the reason for my review. Today, I wanted a bacon sandwich from Pod near my office. I arrived a little after 11am, only to find that breakfast service had already ended. It seems like Pod either prioritizes making a lot of money or their staff lacks authority. It's disappointing that I missed out on breakfast by just a minute, but I wish they could be more lenient with their timing.
I had a healthy meal. the taste was ok, although I wouldn't really want the Thai-green chicken curry. next time I would choose another meal, because the taste of the green curry doesn't look as good as what my friend had (the red curry.) though more sharp. it did not seem TOO spicy.) it is not too far from the tower hill station. price for the little part (which I had:) £3.99 it was about 15 o'clock and thus not so crowded. consider the decoration I could see the color green has been used a lot. the service was in order, but we said they had only green and red curry left. Although that was exactly what we planned, that was good.
Visited Pod a short while ago having needed to get some lunch. I had never heard of it before and so thought I would give it a go, why not! A very clean, simple cafe offering a hot food menu and cold fridges filled with healthy snacks. Everything here is so healthy but in an inventive way! I spent a good ten minutes just scanning the available cold meals in awe of the amount of ingredients they use! I ended up getting a small health pot filled with falafel, houmous, peas, beans, seeds, lettuce and so on! I also purchased a chia seed yoghurt pot with a blackcurrent syrup to mix in. The service was friendly and efficient. Food was good, although a little expensive for a student!
Pod is like a cheerful wakeup call filled with caffeine. I have to agree with the previous reviews that the staff is incredibly friendly and the service is efficient. I was welcomed with a smile, treated with kindness, and despite being a chain, the coffee is just as good as many independent shops I've tried in London. I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable it was, at only £2 for a flat white. The menu offers a variety of healthy and tasty options. I have only tried the breakfast menu so far, but can attest to the fresh pastries, fruity porridge combinations, and yogurts. Currently, they are running a promotion on their yogurts to highlight the importance of probiotic health. They offer options like chia, quinoa, blueberries, and agave.
Located just outside my office, Pod is a spacious café that has become a regular spot for me whenever I visit London, as well as for my colleagues. What sets Pod apart is their experimental menu with a focus on healthier options compared to other cafes in the area. While I don't always stick to the healthier choices, I must say that their 'Sausage sunblush scrambled eggs' is a delicious way to start the day, especially when paired with their Hot Chocolate. The combination of sausage, basil, and eggs is flavorful and satisfying. I also appreciate the Thai green chicken curry with brown wild rice for its healthy ingredients, although the taste might not be for everyone. Overall, Pod is a great spot for a tasty and somewhat healthier meal in London.
