The new location has music that adds to the fun dining experience. The sushi is fresh and delicious, and the fondant is the best I've ever tasted! Bon appétit!
I was in Sumosan wise before I zomato. recently sumosan closed its doors as it will move into the sloane road; so at the moment they do delivery and so I wanted to order. this review only checks the food, sans service / ambiente. lobster salat: this is her most famous salat. the leaves are wrapped so it looks like a beautiful cake. the dressing that comes with him is to die. the lobster is well cooked and the salate is too tasty, but the leaves should be cut into smaller pieces. 4/5 california roll: the california roll was extremely tasty, I would order it at any time. 5/5 shrimp tempura: the garnel tempura seems a while ago...read more
Unfortunately, the Japanese cuisine in London fell short of expectations, especially when it came to sushi. This was one of the most disappointing meals I've had in London, and particularly disappointing for a Japanese restaurant. The lobster salad was unappetizing, the tuna tartare was not enjoyable, and the rock shrimp was both soggy and oily. The three types of Maki (Tempura, Salmon, and Spicy California) were all equally terrible in both appearance and taste. Overall, the service was somewhat attentive (3.5/5), but the food was a complete letdown (0.5/5) and the ambience was lacking (1/5).
You can't deny the quality and freshness of the ingredients at Sumosan. Everything is top-notch, but it does come at a steep price. The omakase sushi platter, unfortunately, falls short of true omakase (chef's selection) standards with a selection of bland and common pieces of sushi and sashimi. Despite this, I can't give it less than four stars. If you know what to order and don't mind paying a premium, I would still recommend it!
Been here for Lunch and took up the Bento box set menu they have. It's not cheap cheap but reasonable for the area of down I was worried that it would be a little on the light side. Not all. Good sized meal for lunch. Had soup, sushi, tempura, cooked meat, rice etc. mid £20 I think it was.
