The staff at the tills are polite and helpful, clearly the staff in charge of the food bar, do not care about the dietary requirements of vegans, that being the case, stop labelling food vegan, when it clearly is not.
This branch is sadly not as good as the Kensington one. There is a lot less to choose from in the fresh food section but they also seem to stock different brands, which is a shame. I didn’t find what I was looking for, so in future I will stick with the other location.
Best prosciutto di San Daniele in London. The ham was cut very well and also a lovely package created for transporting.
If you come here stick to only buying the groceries. The hot food self-serve bar was very underwhelming and tasted like basic sloppy cooked food lacking a lot of flavour. Bearing in mind that the roast potatoes were completely undercooked and rock hard. Most disheartening point was that they charged £18 for a box which I didn't even fill to the top. No value for money and food not worth eating I'm afraid. Won't be coming back here that's for sure!
I love wholefoods as a grocer, and I understand it's products are usually higher in cost then elsewhere. I decided to go there to get lunch today, as I noticed they have a buffet style hot counter where you can fill your own box. I filled a box with roast potatoes, some salad and mac cheese. Looked okay for self service, but nothing special. When I got to the counter, they charged me £18.50! I couldn't believe it. I could buy two made to order lunches in soho for that price. They would have been bigger and tastier. Or I could have eaten at a restaurant, and still would've had a smaller bill. I really hope they reevaluate their prices, as its borderline disrespectful to customers, and leaves a bad taste.
