Contribuisci feedbackI love the empanadas , they are fresh and yummy , the place is clean and cozy , my only complaint is the noise , the music is to loud and you can’t even hear if you are in the phone or chatting with someone. But the price and taste of empanadas was so good!
I stopped in on my way to the LIRR to pick up the baked goods of the gods: Almojabanas. They were not only warm and fresh out of the oven at 10:30 am, but absolutely incredible. The outside had the perfect crispiness while the inside was soft and chewy. If you often feel let down by pan de queijo at Brazilian restaurants (like I do), you need to come here. They have perfected both the Almojabanas and Bunuelo. It’s an ideal spot to grab something quick for the train ride. I'm really trying hard not to indulge in a third one...
The empanadas here contain very little meat, mostly consisting of potatoes. They used to be better in the past. However, the coffee is still quite good. I would recommend coming here for the empanadas.
I just tried the velvet cake for the first time, and I'm convinced that this place only has a 4.1-star rating because those who love it aren't leaving reviews. It's one of the best cakes I've ever had! The cake was soft and fluffy with a sweetness that wasn't overwhelming. The frosting was light and had a subtle cream cheese flavor. Overall, it was phenomenal. I'll definitely be going back to try more of their delicious treats!
Their empanadas are the best in queens... esp the baked chicken ones, so good... as are their other pastries. Yum!
