Hanamichi - City of New York

I dine at this fantastic restaurant frequently! It's my favorite place to grab a meal. I visit often because the food is excellent, the staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. I really enjoy spending time here for a nice dinner.

This restaurant was delightful! The service was pretty good overall. I recommend requesting the drink menu right away, as my hostess overlooked mine. If you’re seated outside, don’t hesitate to call the hosts over, as they stand by the door. The food was fantastic, and the prices are reasonable considering the large portions! Overall, this restaurant is excellent, and I plan to visit often.

The food was excellent and reasonably priced considering the generous portions. The service may seem poor to those hesitant to signal the waiter or waitress. However, I had no issues at all; the staff were friendly and quick. Overall, I’ll definitely be returning!

I first came into this place in 2011 when it was called a different name. Then I left the city and many things changed. In 2018 when I was back in town, I thought it was closed, but found it again with the current name. The food was as good as I tasted years ago, and even the menu was the same one. Nostalgia.

Spicy tuna poke with rice was pretty tasty, and the tuna is actually spicy. This is perhaps due to the Korean influence, as you can order standard Korean and Japanese pub fare. I can’t fairly assess the waitstaff as it was between shifts and during family meal time when I visited. Not sure if I’ll be back, but I was happy to find decent quality in a nice atmosphere. I’m not sure what the other noise complaints were about: the music was playing at an unobtrusive volume.
