Hk Hell's Kitchen - City of New York

I wish I had checked the negative reviews before dining here tonight. The restaurant was unclean; the floors, tables, menus, and bathrooms were all noticeably dirty. Our food took an eternity to arrive and was only mediocre at best. As soon as I walked in, no one came over to assist us. I truly don't understand how this place remains in business. It's clear that I won't be coming back.

I went for lunch with two friends and waited 15 minutes just to get our drinks, and unfortunately, things didn't improve from there. All three of us ordered from the lunch menu, and while two meals arrived fairly quickly, the third took an additional 30 minutes. The only update we received from our waiter was a vague mention of a computer error. This was just one of several issues we encountered. It's disappointing, especially since there aren't many dining options near the Javits Center.

I ordered the eggs Benedict, which was good but not exceptional. My husband had the steak and eggs and felt similarly. The service was good, and the waitstaff were pleasant.

Opentable took a 12:15pm reservation for HK, however neglected the fact that they are not open for lunch! So of course it was an awful experience with my client to find a suitable place around 9th that we could have our meeting.

Waiters were nice but we were the only ones in there and I felt like they left out the usual basic service. Our water was never refilled, we weren't asked if we wanted refills on our other drinks. The hearts of palms in the salad was hard and indelible. The waiter did go back in the kitchen and bring out a better few but we shouldn't have had to mention this. Soups were good. Out main meals were both just ok. The chicken in both was over cooked and dried out,
