Contribuisci feedbackBetween a fried chicken joint and a western Chinese takeout, share the rest of the block with a diner, whale greens, a dollar shop and many other generic shops, small hyderabadi clinges like a winding thumb. The awning offers biryani and chat, but in reality, the menu is loaded with most of the pan Indian favorites you can ever imagine a number of vegetarian and meat options.
This place is definitely not the best Indian food you can find in NYC, it is not even remote in the area. It is basically the Indian equivalent of the happy double dragon or lucky jade garden (Americanized Chinese) that you usually find about the country that are less colonized with Indians. Located in the heart of Flushing, it is the best Indian food you can get without leaving Flushing. And you know what? Sometimes we like to have some fake Indian food like the way we long orange chicken from Panda Express. This place is great for taking, and the best part of everything, they take credit cards! My wife's favorite dish is the butter chicken (yellow curry). They have some interesting egg creations like the egg curry and egg fried rice, but in general the dishes are only somehow meh and tolerable (i.e. not spicy, perfect for non-Indians). I fully agree with the bipolar distribution of reviews on Google: all Indians hate this place (due to lack of authenticity), while all non-Indians love this place. Because we're clearly not Indian, we're evaluating this place a 5-star. PS. I would recommend avoiding their Biryani, the taste (or lack of it) was quite disappointing.
Honest rating, specific items in the menu are GREAT, others are not. I love the Chicken Tikka Massala Spicy or very sharp. The Naan is great (Cheese is the best by far), that is said; they could not speak the greatest English, but the BOTH times I screwed the order to Ubereats, I called it back and they GLADLY adapted it for me. Once they made a mistake and I called them back, and they fixed it and added free items to the ticket with many excuses on the phone. TL:DR It is a solid place for Chicken Tikka Massala (Spicy) Naans and Mango Lassi. Customer service is great.
Biryani is good. Chat can be better.
