La Salle Dumpling Room

What a pleasant experience all around. I introduced myself to Sam and he was very understanding about cross-contamination for vegetarians. Indeed they have an entire section of the menu dedicated to plant based entrees. Sam explained all the cookware are cleaned well after each food prep. That sounded great and when I asked about utensils he simply asked if I would like me to have new utensils he would make sure it would happen. All our dishes were well prepared. Colin noodles had a lighter flavor to them (as other reviews indicated) and was a nice change. Vegetable soon needed a little extra flavor and yet still tasty. Outdoor seating a plus. It is unfortunate we live well outside of delivery zone and worth the trip.

I haven't had the chance to try their soup dumplings yet, which seem to be very popular on Yelp. However, I've ordered their Shredded Beef with Hot Pepper twice and have been thrilled with it both times. The sauce is rich in flavor with a delightful hint of sweetness. While the dish isn’t overly spicy, it’s still incredibly tasty. On my second takeout order, I noticed that my rice was a bit dry, which is my only complaint. This dish reminds me of the beef with peppers I used to enjoy at a Chinese restaurant near my old home, bringing back great memories! The service is excellent; we received our food quickly, and everyone in the restaurant was very friendly. La Salle is a fun place to grab a quick bite or to order takeout from, especially during finals week!

The soup dumplings here are consistently delicious. Today was no exception. Steaming hot, filled with soup, a wonderful clean taste from fresh ingredients. The dipping vinegar they use here is pungent and delicious, not like the watered-down versions you find elsewhere. I've had many versions of dumplings in the city. These are my favorite.We also had shrimp noodles and beef with peppers. All were fresh and delicious.The staff here are all very nice and attentive and the space is quite comfortable. Love watching the #1 train passing by the large windows.

This is the best Chinese food in Harlem or Washington Heights! It has become a go to for us for both a great dining experience, and even take out.

I’ve been four times just in the last month! Attentive service, sweet but-not-too-sweet boba, tasty kimichi pork soup dumplings, and the beef scallion pancakes are fantastic. Plus, reasonably priced! This place deserves more stars
