When I explained that I had just purchased food and was indeed a customer, the woman at the register claimed she "doesn't work there" and couldn't provide the code. As a young African American, I hesitated to consider race as a factor, but it felt like it played a role in their refusal to help me after I identified myself as a paying customer. After that, she walked away and started using her phone while both she and her coworker ignored my repeated requests for the restroom code. Not wanting to draw further attention to myself, I decided to leave the store. This experience was disappointing and one that will stick with me.
I ordered at the kiosk and found they were out of crispy chicken. There were only two employees working, and I noticed ants in the restaurant. The value menu isn't even a good deal. Please bring back the spicy chicken soft taco!
