Simple fresh perfectly prepared dishes were beyond expectation, though great reviews prompted me to try it on delivery. We tend to eat more vegetarian based food, so I can report just on what we ordered, which doesn't include the interesting sounding pork and beef dishes. Pea sprouts with oyster mushrooms, Scallion oil noodles with tiger prawns, Purple Rice, all delectable. Next time I will order 3 Cup Chicken, (organic!! with basil! LOVE TANG
The food was good but it's definitely overpriced. The Spicy Cumin Beef had excellent flavor but there was so little beef in it for $29. The Yuxiang Shredded Pork was also really tasty but also mostly bamboo. The Pea Shoots was bland but a good portion for the price. It seemed to be booked (only) and could really use some salt and garlic. We ordered multiple orders of the Purple Rice but unfortunately all of the containers were about 3/4 full. And none of the big plates came with rice.
Do not order from this store. Serious rip off. I ordered the beef shanks which were $7. In the picture it showed 10 pieces. 6 TINY pieces came in a bowl and I thought it was condiments at first. I have never posted a review on doordash but I am compelled to write this review. Please do better next time.
Insuffienct order rice dish and pork ribs (2) food missing
We visited The Tang located in upper west side which the decor is modern with cozy ambiance. It’s good for a workday quick lunch but also perfect for dating. We love their Pork Dumplings in Chili Oil which was flavorful with great size of dumplings. The Salt Pepper Ribs was decent but not as soft as expected. We shared Beef Noodles Soup, Cold Noodles and Spicy Diced Chicken with a group of five people. Both noodles were delicious with good portion and their braised eggs were impressively satisfying.
