I had a wonderful experience at this lively bar, which is housed in a former firehouse. The bartenders were welcoming, and the selection of beers on tap and in bottles was impressive. It's a great place to unwind while waiting for a train! Although I didn't sample the food myself, the couple next to me seemed to really enjoy their burgers. I will definitely make it a point to come back the next time I'm in Albany.
I feel a little embarrassed to admit this, but this place has been around for five years, and I’ve only just discovered it. Maybe it’s my fault for not finding it sooner, or perhaps the ongoing construction at the station finally led me to this hidden gem of a dive bar. Usually, when I’m faced with a delayed train or arrive at the station too early, I end up at the café, grabbing a beer while everyone else sticks to soup or coffee. I often feel slightly out of place sitting at the coffee bar with my drink in hand. But now that I’ve found June’s, I believe everything is about to change. They have a great selection of local beers and a pleasant open space that allows for fresh air on nice days. Their dive bar menu is straightforward, featuring options like fries and other quick snacks. We ordered fries to go with our beers, and while they’re simple, they’re absolutely delicious—hot and fresh! They make for the perfect little treat before heading to my next destination and pair wonderfully with my beer. I can definitely see this becoming my new go-to spot while waiting for a train whenever I have the chance.
So much fun on A thursday night! Its right next to the train station!! Nice burger and fries! Fred is awesome! They have an old school stereo system And and lots of fun music on their juke box! Highly recommend!
Don't waste your time. My Dad and I tried to eat here unsuccessfully. He is 82 and has trouble chewing so we hoped they had chili or sour but both are seasonal so he ordered tuna. I ordered roast beef but they said they only had tuna, turkey, and corned beef so I asked for turkey and a Coke to drink because they didn't have Dr Pepper. They brought me a funky tasting Coke and then told Dad they ran out of tuna. Hardly room to park either, but then again I can't imagine why they need much with their ineptitude.
