These are the original owners of the Peppino's on 241st in the Bronx!!!!!! The Pizza doesn't taste the same as it used to on 241st, but it's far better than the current Peppino's on 241st. The Pizza does still have that perfect crispy crust and oowey gooey cheesey goodness of old times.
Great people, prices are fair too.food is also fresh.
I ordered pasta with broccoli oil and garlic. I don't know what happened to this place. It used to be consistent and the food was always good to great. I cook a lot of Italian food and I know that this pasta was likely put in the to go container, stuck together and unseasoned (no salt in the water I'm guessing) and not sauteed with the broccoli and garlic. The broccoli was over cooked and there wasn't enough garlic but the garlic was so under cooked that the broccoli had no flavor. I couldn't put enough Parmesan on it to make it any better and had to throw it away without even eating half. My wife had penne with broccoli and Alfredo sauce. Her food was bland and the pasta was overcooked and falling apart. The broccoli, again, over cooked and dumped on top. She too couldn't finish even half. We had to eat the terrible bread that came with the order to get the taste of the pasta dishes out.
I had penne and broccoli with Alfredo sauce and everything was completely over cooked and tasted so bland. The amount of Parmesan and black pepper I put on didn't even make the food taste good. Not worth almost $50 for two
