We went for our reservation and they ignored open table the place is louzy no tables kitchen filthy poor settings not eorth it your time
Despite the high scores given by previous guests, our expectations for this restaurant were not met. We enjoyed the creative and beautifully presented bruschetta appetizer, which was a good value. However, the rest of our meal was underwhelming. The Caesar salad lacked flavor and quality ingredients, especially the parmesan. The pasta with sausages was disappointing as the pasta was undercooked and the sausage pieces were too large and inadequately distributed. My partner ordered the house specialty ravioli, which was decent but not outstanding. Our bill, including two glasses of wine, came to around $120 USD, making it one of the pricier dinners we've had in Panama City. Overall, we found other restaurants in Casco Viejo to offer better value and quality, so we do not plan to return to Mangiare.
Having read glowing reviews of this restaurant, we had high expectations. We were impressed with the bruschetta appetizer, which was not only creative and beautifully presented, but also good value for money. However, the rest of our meal was lackluster. The Caesar salad was bland and lacked quality ingredients, especially the Parmesan Reggiano. The pasta with sausages was a letdown, as the pasta was undercooked and there were hard pieces throughout the dish. The sausage pieces were too large and unevenly distributed. My husband ordered the ravioli, a house specialty recommended by the waiter, which he found decent but not remarkable. With 2 glasses of wine, our bill came to about $120 USD, making it one of our pricier meals in Panama City. Given the more reasonable options with better food in Casco Viejo, we will not be returning to Mangiare.
The food is decent, but the beef I ordered was too salty and not enjoyable to eat. The interior design is a bit outdated. Overall, it's not great, just okay, and you may find the bill to be on the expensive side.
