Aurora - Ciutadella de Menorca

We tried this place on a whim on a Sunday evening as we were looking for somewhere new to try and after walking around a bit without success, decided to give Aurora a try. The place had a large outdoor seating area that was packed and there were already people waiting at the bar for a table there, so instead we took a table inside by the door and ordered up. Menu was simple and straight forward. I had some tapas plates of chicken, calamari and patas bravas with a bottle of Graham Pearce beer. The missus went with a Salmon salad. Chicken and patas were good hit the spot, the calamari was ok. I've definitely had better. The other half thought her salmon was excellent though and was a perfectly sized portion for her. As we ate, we got to watch what appears to be a well oiled machine in operation as the staff buzzed back forth, getting the service out, whilst locals wandered in for a quick snifter at the bar or to wait for one of those in demand spots outside. Bill was most agreeable for the amount of food we had. If I was in Ciutadella again, I'd definitely give this place another go but maybe get there earlier to snag a table outside on Placa D'Alfons and watch the world go by.

Waiter stole our money we used to pay the bill. Appalling. The server is a thief and the venue should be avoided. There behaviour is disgusting and the server lower than scum stealing from a disabled customer is lower than low. They are worse than a nonce. Unable to see any reason why they did what they did. They were embarrassed at being caught. No remorse. Avoid aurora.

We visited here just for a drink but ended up staying 4 hours. The service was fabulous and very helpful, after having a couple of Aperol Spritz we went on to order food which was stuffed Aubergines, Cod with Pine Nuts and a portion of fries, and it didn't disappoint.

Buen lugar para ir a hacer unas tapas o hamburgesa.
