Glop 24 - Ciutadella de Menorca

Stopped here in passing glass of wine and beer, and each of us had local bread with olive oil and tomatoes. It was fresh, cheap, the drinks were good and the service fast and polite. Good for a quick pit stop and cool under the arches.

First bad review i have left on trip advisor however i have felt a need to share our awful experience At this restaurant. The tapas was like food from Iceland frozen rubbish. The potatas bravas was frozen potatoe wedges ! Its awful that places serve such food to diners who are out for a night during a holiday. Stay well clear better tapas at the restaurant next door to the right full of locals. Wait for a table and dont make our mistake !

I had heard some great comments of the food in Glop De Vi in the fish market and I had bought excellent wine there. To my surprise!, I noticed an additional restaurant (same owner) had opened next door to Ses Voltes so my wife and I had great expectations. To our surprise, it was very ordinary and we were disappointed. The place was not full and there was the owner and 1 waitress servicing approximately 4 tables. The wine was recommended by the owner and it was quite nice. We then waited ages ....and ages for 3 of 4 plates of tapas we had ordered. The portions were not grand, which we don't mind so long as the quality is there. It was not ! I have always been served tomato bread hot! Not very cold. We were then told our green peppers would be 5 minutes. 15 minutes later we got the peppers and after we had eaten our other dishes. We noticed that the table opposite had ordered almost the same as us and there had obviously been a mix up. The young couple also did not seem impressed. So, disappointed and will not revisit. Ses Voltes next door blows it out of the water!

Es un restaurante muy acogedor, económico y hay platos muy ricos y económicos, también hacen menús por 13€ con gran variación para elegir (incluye primero, segundos, pan y postre. también adecuado para vegetarianos o veganos;

¡Hemos comido el menú y todo muy riquioso al pan! el camarero muy amable.
