A friend took me to this coffee shop downtown Bowmanville last month, which is conveniently located near shops and banks. Street parking and a local parking lot are available, with the first 2 hours free. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was decent. I tried a warmed cheese salad croissant and cappuccino, both of which were enjoyable. I would return if invited by a friend, but my top choice would be Toasted Walnut on King Street for a wider variety of food options, higher quality, better atmosphere, and overall satisfaction.
I thought it was a charming spot to have a cup of coffee and unwind.
The place itself is very cute I was there on a date with my husband tried few deserts but nothing to rave about.
Have just moved to Canada, and loving it, apart from the coffee situation. I've been looking for a good cappuccino and some friendly Canadian service. Unfortunately found neither here. My first rude Canadians at the counter, brusque service would have been an improvement. Four unfriendly and frankly inhospitable. Even if the coffee had. Even good, it would have been soured by the attitude. Soup was nice, and other offerings looked good, other customers didn't seem unhappy with their food. I might give it another go later, but honestly will probably head up the road to Toast and Walnut for a more pleasant and hopefully tastier experience.
