Harvest Habersham - Clarkesville

So sad that we still have to deal with ignorance in 2022. my man and I waited literally until this restaurant was opened. we went in and wanted to sit down from the waitress, but have forgotten something outside. we went back in a few minutes later and wanted to sit back, but. provided the owner or the manager (a blonde woman) turned us away. they then said that reservations were required and that there was a waiting list. remember the restaurant just opened and there were 3 parties already sitting and about 15 available tables. not only did she say that she told another story how they moved restaurants and such. say a few different ways not to let us eat as we were not caucasian. we are both senior employees for multi-million dollar companies and were looking for a good healthy farm to table food. I just showed her a few excuses. if they want to be racist, they are simply direct instead of coming out with several. this is just a stork reminder of the southern charm.

The worst example of a flat racism I have ever experienced in the restaurant. a strong memory in Georgia, the further they go north, the deeper they go south. I do everything to overlook the cowards hiding behind their neandertal racist convictions, but this place is for the classic good ole boy.

A few nights to stay in helen and this place came on my radar after exploring restaurants with good reviews. try to call them to make sure they were open and available, but never got an answer. when I was a party of 1 I decided to take my chances. drive 25 minutes in the rain, just to get a curt reaction that they were fully booked. seriously, I'm a person. you have empty tables and sit on the bar, it would have been so hard to take me. give them 2 stars for bad customer service. I'm not going to do it again.

Always amazing from beginning to ende. professional, courteous great love to detail. they even remember our wine preference! eating is fantastic!

What a find. The reviews say it all. They have limited hours and reservations only. Best restaurant in town.
