The portion sizes were incredibly generous, and everything we tried was bursting with flavor. We will definitely return on our way back home. The owner checked in on us and all the other customers to make sure everyone was satisfied. The waitstaff was friendly and hardworking. Thank you! My husband keeps saying, "Mmmm, mmmm good!"
I ordered the rib plate, which includes three meaty ribs and two sides. You can choose to have the sauce either on the ribs or on the side; I opted for the latter so I could fully savor the seasoning on the meat. The ribs were juicy, and I really enjoyed the smoky flavor. The mac and cheese was slightly salty and a bit greasy, likely because of all the cheese, but still enjoyable. The baked beans had a wonderful balance of sweetness and tanginess, with just a hint of heat. Overall, I was very pleased with my meal.
Hands down best BBQ I?ve had in a long time. The ribs was very tender and delicious. The service 5 star and the yellow haired woman is the sweetest person I?ve ever met. Also the BBQ sauce is mouth watering. Stop by if your ever in Clarksville.
**The Good:** The restaurant offered plenty of seating and was impeccably clean. It seemed to be quite popular, with multiple tables occupied by diners. Despite the crowd, it wasn't noisy, allowing for easy conversation. The decor paid homage to the military, which was nice to see since Mr. Fox has served. I was particularly moved by the presence of a missing man table. **The Great:** The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They interacted with every guest as if they were old friends. Mr. and Mrs. Fox chatted with my wife and me, making it feel like they were welcoming us back, even though this was our first visit. **The Amazing:** Normally, I don’t seek out BBQ places because they tend to serve the same old fare and often end up being mediocre. However, Fox's BBQ has completely changed my perspective. Yes, they have all the usual BBQ items like chicken, pork, ribs, beans, mac and cheese, okra, and collard greens, but this place stood out. The food wasn’t overly seasoned; instead, it had a perfect smoky flavor that really elevated the experience. I ordered the Fox Trap combo, which included two meaty ribs, a chicken thigh, and two sides that I chose to be mac and cheese and beans. The meats were wonderfully smoky and left me wanting more. The mac and cheese was truly cheesy, and the beans were unlike anything I’d ever tasted. I expected them to have shredded meat, but they didn’t; instead, they had a little kick and didn’t taste like ketchup at all. My wife ordered the loaded tots topped with pulled pork, cheese, and BBQ sauce. The portion of tots was enormous, matched well by a generous amount of pulled pork. The cheese and BBQ sauce perfectly complemented the smoky pulled pork. Was my experience a one-time occurrence? I’ll keep you posted because I WILL be returning. This place is absolutely remarkable!
I HATE bbq places that taste like a grocery store. The collards are canned so PLEASE don't waste your time. The chicken... they just throw REGULAR bbq sauce on it and call it a day. Please save your money.
