Martini was horrible. Salmon was undercooked. It was still raw in the center. I was at The Mailroom once before for luch and it was very good. After such a disappointing dinner I have no plans to go back.
Nice atmosphere, great service, the food was very good. I had bone-in pork chop with sauteed spinach and mashed potatoes. My wife had chicken/mac-n-cheese and toasted cheesy garlic bread. Both were very good! We will definitely be back.
My jambalaya with grits was straight up delicious, but my date’s salmon was overcooked and her sides were also dry and unappetizing. Our server was very nice, but the kitchen failed to inform her they were out of plantain chips, so our guacamole only came with plain old corn tortilla chips. Other confused servers kept bringing by items meant for other tables.
Our food was great, and our server Shawn made the evening for us! We were having fun with friends and he just added to the whole experience!!
