Tropical Smoothie Cafe - Clawson

I come here frequently for the smoothies but decided to order a chicken chipotle club I ate most of the sandwich and noticed a dead fly falling out my sandwich which was very disappointing. Went back showed the manager and was issued a refund.

Order a smoothing through the drive thru it was good. Staff was polite, but it was a bit busy as I watched my drink sit on the counter for a few minutes. I just needed it handed to me. Again, they were busy and looked like they were training a new staff. So overall, it was a good experience.

Today my friend and I both ordered smoothies. I ordered the blueberry bliss and she ordered the Jetty punch. Today the service was okay however our smoothies were deplorable. My smoothie tasted very sour and slightly watery and my friends tasted sour as well. The best way to describe hers was the taste of sour milk. She had a few sips and couldn’t finish it. Disappointed to say the least.

Go here all the time to get smoothies and food. The staff is nice enough but definitely not super quick. I'm not here to review any of that because that tends to be a trend across the chain. Overall it's a good place and I'll keep going there but I do want to state one thing that is beyond idiotic. The corporate policy is to charge 50 cents for a cup of water. This place jacks up their prices up the wazoo already and we know what we're paying for but to charge 50 cents at a giant chain like this is beyond ludicrous and the company should be ashamed of themselves. Keep in mind this is a corporate policy and I will give credit to one of the staff at this location who was kind enough to give me a cup of water no charge with my meal.
