These people are rip off merchants. my mum rang on the phone and placed an order that came to $110. since they don't deliver i then have to go on door dash and order the equivalent amount of food to match the same price but instead of giving me what i put on door dash they give me what my mum ordered. so with the womans help i ordered food that totalled the same amount as my mums order. she said that the milk toffee my mom ordered isn't on there but as long as the total was $110 she could send the milk toffee. she said door dash is $1 extra. the only price she ever gave me was $110. my total came to $111 and i said could u throw in an extra piece of milk toffee she said that would be fine. she never said anything about it being extra because if it was then i would have ordered food to total that amount. we get the order and only 1 piece of milk toffee and missing fish patties. so i ring her and she starts arguing with me telling me that the price is $120 with the milk toffee. she said i didn't understand, i said but my mom placed her full order with you over the phone and it came to $110 and when i rang you you said it was $110 just order food to total that amount and you'll send moms order. she was yelling, speaking over me not listening telling me it was more that i didn't understand. don't use these people unless you want poor customer service, missing food and price gauging. oh yeah, when my mum spoke to the man originally before he put her on to the woman he said the milk toffee was $1.95 then when mom spoke to the woman it was $2.50 when i rang and asked about the milk toffee she told me it was $3 and i said you told my mum it was $2.50 ah ok we can do it for that price she said. i was just going to ring and say we didn't get our milk toffee can u please send it and that was it but she tried to say that it costs more on the website, i don't even know what she was talking about. that moms order was more on the website, if that's the case then i should pay less. i can't believe i've been treated like this. we loved this restaurant and food. never using them again. here is another review i found further down about their changing prices.Kasun PereraLocal Guide·38 reviews·216 photos4 years agoThe worst Sri Lankan Restaurent I have seen in Melbourne south eastern suburbs. They are showing Sri Lankan flag and don’t know whether it is a Sri Lankan restaurent or not. Staff behave like they are the one and only restaurent in Melbourne and I went to kitchen area to wash my hands and kitchen area was very dirty. Published prices are not accurate and they charge different different prices according to their own mentalities. I don’t recommend this shop to any Sri Lankan food lovers.

Great food, clean and bright atmosphere and nice people.

The food at Eat is absolutely delicious, the portion sizes are generous, and the owners are very friendly.

If the head lady weren't there, the place would be much more enjoyable. We visited on a day when we were wearing T-shirts from the cleaning company we used to work for. The lady asked, "Oh! Are you cleaners?" It felt like she only recognized us as customers when we were ready to pay, unlike others. I came across this review by Lahiru Ladusinghe from six months ago, which sums it up: if this attitude exists, it's best not to buy anything. The treatment is really discriminatory towards students; she seems to be looking for high-class customers only. If you want to make a purchase, you might as well invest in something high-end.

I had the pleasure of experiencing authentic Sri Lankan cuisine at this restaurant. The prices are very reasonable, and I'm always greeted with a warm welcome.
