During our visit Clearwater was under threat of evacuation because of fires but no instruction was given to us on checkin.
This is a mixed resort consisting of several Cabins round a small lake.Cabins are comfortable and reasonably priced with very helpful owner and staff. If travelling to or from Vancouver to the Rockies Wells Gray should not be missed with absolutely stunning scenery and waterfalls but requires a bit of walking. This resort is on the main highway and is nicely placed in walking distance for several nice eating places and a large supermarket. Free Wifi and parking.
We stayed the night decided t have breakfast here, the pancakes were huge and the wife enjoyed them. I have omelette and has browns, yet what I got were potatoes covered in spice it wasn't good. The cheese was the burger slice cheese in the eggs. Sadly is let the review down. The service was great and coffee good.
We stopped at the KOA here and was surprised they had a restaurant. They served breakfast and supper. We tried both during our stay and was pleasantly surprised. Good portions and quality. Price is a little high but that is expected in small remote towns. I would recommend this place for sure.
We ate here rather than walk out to another restaurant during our overnight stay en route to Jasper. I had fish and chips which were fine and my wife had grilled salmon with salad which was excellent. The service and price were great. It's a cafeteria setting not an upmarket restaurant but I'd recommend it without hesitation.
