My husband loves sushi to the point it makes me sick lol so after moving from miami he was on the hunt to find the best sushi bang for his buck. He stumbled on to this and decided we were gonna go for lunch hit the beach and come back for dinner. So I will start with the lunch. THE GOOD! AMAZING! I could not boast any more about the lunch and our server just everything was great and fresh. the Krab stick salad is in my dreams! our waitress was on her first day of working there and she was absolutely amazing. She didnt know how to answer some of our questions but offered to go and get the information for us. She was great! The sushi did come out alil slow but the hot foods came out pretty quick so I ate my crab ragoons waiting for my sushi and was more then content. very very very pleased with the lunch service. Now THE BAD! Dinner SERVICE! I was expecting it to be much more crowded for dinner than lunch but it was actually less full. We decided to invite our friends and their daughters for the dinner so we had a total of 7. We got this waiter who I had seen in there for lunch he just was slumped not really looking like he wanted to be there so at first I was alittle worried that he was our waiter which I had every right to be. He would not write anything down there was 7 of us ordering and not a single thing he wrote down. after all the hot food came out my husbands sushi still was not out we watched it sit on the sushi bar for a good 10 mins before the waiter came over and asked us (including my husband) if we were ready for our second order. I simply stated that my husband still has not got his first order then he looked at me and said 'yea yea its coming ' and then took our other orders and left the plate up there for an additional 6 mins before bringing it to the table. after we all ate it was time for sweet dough. Everyone at our table loves the sweet dough so we ordered 3 bananas and 3 sweet doughs(we had 3 kids at the table) 2 bananas came out and 1 sweet dough which had 6 little sweet balls on it. which the kids devoured rather quickly. so after waiting about 20 mins he came back and asked if we wanted another order and we said we were waiting for the other 2 sweet dough orders and he said ok I will put in more orders of dough. so we were now waiting on 4 orders then only 1 again came out. after another 20 mins he came back and once again I told him we were waiting for the dough and he said in the most rudest way ' you want more sweet dough ' I was like no we are still waiting for some we ordered nearly an hour ago ' to whihc he replied that he was gonna put in another order of 3. so now we were waiting for 5 orders and once again on 1 order came out but this time only 4 balls were on the plate. after that we were already pretty upset due to the attitudes we were receiving we decided to ask for the checks which were separate.THE UGLY! Now there is a statement on the menu that says parties of 7 or more will be automatically charged an 18% gratuity tip. (my mother has been a waitress my entire life so I know this does not apply when the bilsl are separate) he still charged us that which means he had an $8.84 tip from one bill and an $10.63 tip for the other.... he barley deserved the $8.84 tip but still so furious about the attitude level we just said to leave it. I did not get his name but he is the one with the visible tattoos. We will be back to this place because of the food! it was amazing! However we will NOT be having him as our server!!!!
I had the opportunity to eat at the new restaurant on North Dale Mabry. I don't eat steak or seafood, but between the soup, salad, and the chicken options, I ate more than enough to justify the very reasonable price. The space is beautifully decorated and very clean. I am looking forward to returning next weekend with out-of-town guests.
Its busy place, so go early!<br/ This is not typical buffet, it's made to order. It might take time to get sushi to your table after you order, so order something not sushi first to fix your hunger. <br/ <br/ We order sashimi, sushi, steak, gyoza. <br/ Don't order steal, not that good...<br/ We ate so much sushi, if we went regular sushi restaurant, easily we ate $100 worth of food!<br/ <br/ I highly recommend if you are big eater.
I LOVE this place! For $17 you get all the hibachi and sushi you want. It's like all you can eat Kobe's and everything is cooked when you order it. I can't wait to go back!!
Amazing value. Someone recommended this restaurant to us and my husband and I decided to give it a try. It is in an odd place, behind Costco in the Clearwater Mall shopping center, so not that easy to see or find. I am so glad we decided to come here though. Our server was great and gave us some good suggestions on what to try, the food was very good, and we were very full and smiling at the end of the meal. Their prices are similar to an all you can eat Chinese Buffet, 15.99 on Sunday dinner, but it is not a buffet and each thing you order is freshly prepared for you. The chef was good and the food was artistically displayed (something that adds to my enjoyment of a meal). Our server discovered it was our first visit and said 'Welcome to your new addiction! ', and I have to agree. It was that good and we are definitely coming back again and again.
