Hands down the best pub dinner I’ve ever had! Wasn’t sure whether to climb the burger or eat it.

I can't understand why this pub has an average rating below 4 stars! This place exudes a traditional atmosphere and design, making it the perfect countryside pub. There is ample seating available, including wooden chairs, soft furnishings, and stools. The food portions are generous and well worth the money. The prices for both food and beer are very reasonable. The beer selection includes both branded options and local brewery choices. The food quality is good, serving honest pub fare that is ideal after a long day in the hills or just for a casual meal out. Unfortunately, I don't live nearby as I was visiting Ennerdale, but if I were a local in the Lakes area, especially in Ennerdale, I would definitely make this pub my go-to spot. Hopefully, I'll have the chance to come back soon.

The food at this restaurant is amazing, with generous portions and a very friendly staff. I tried the chicken and bacon carbonara and it was one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had. The garlic bread was also delicious and perfectly crispy. The dish was served at the perfect temperature, allowing me to enjoy it right away. The dessert menu offers a wide variety of options, all served with a choice of cream, custard, or ice cream. I opted for the sticky toffee pudding and once again, the portion size was large and the dessert was perfectly sticky without being overly sweet. I highly recommend this restaurant, it has become my new favorite dinner spot!
