Contribuisci feedbackAn outstanding one night stay with dinner. Our first floor room at the rear was spotlessly clean with a small balcony, quiet and peaceful although there was access to other rooms opposite. All amenities up to date, nice shower with toiletries. Dinner was superb, served...pleasantly with smiles by the owner and her new waiter who both went out of their way to give us excellent service and information about the meal and local ingredients. Her husband is a fine chef providing a small but balanced and interesting choice. Fish rillettes unusual but delicious, home made terrine likewise as starters. For mains I had the pork part barbecued, my wife the duck. Deserts pretty and imaginative while the cheeseboard of Normandy’s finest a great way to finish. No room for breakfast ! The village is typically quaint, worth a stroll round with pre dinner cidre at the Tabac. We would have loved to stay for longer and hope to return another time. Maybe with family to enjoy the Cote de Boeuf that looked magnificent.
I always. Visit the site Normand when I visit Clecy. It is a real treat. Excellent food and service. Friendly staff nice surroundings well worth a visit.
We arrived at the restaurant without a reservation a little after The dining room was half empty but we were told they were booked out. It's hard to imagine that all those people were yet to arrive to fill those tables. Very poor.
Back this time with my wife, for lunch. The menu du jour is fairly basic and the price not the cheapest Euros when you can typically get a menu du jour for to sometimes with wine included), but the food is superbly...cooked and well worth the money. Staff again are excellent.
Dining areas indoors and outdoors very comfortable we chose outside as the temperature had been around in the day.Outside dining in a pleasant courtyard and we were told by our waitress that the menu is a suprise we have to tell them...of any dislikes or allegies that we have then choose if your main course is to be fish or meat. We both chose fish and were served a starter of tuna on quinoa mains were salmon, beetroot and whipped cauliflower mash and dessert of cherries in a creme anglais I'm afraid my description does not do justice to the food, which was all beautifully presented. We had a very good bottle of Tourraine sauv blanc at but I noticed some suspiciously inexpensive local wines on offer at per litre.Overall cost of our meal was around the Euro mark but it was worth the experience of taking our time and dining in such a nice setting.
