I downloaded all my digital coupon's but when I checked out it didn't take any of my coupon's off. I had to go through so much stuff just for the coupons to be taken off. I still got shorted! By the time I was done my ice cream that I purchased was completely melted. They need to figure the digital coupon thing out or go back to printed coupons you can cut out. I have been shopping here for 30 years I have to say I was highly disappointed!
This store is older and it really needs to be upgraded. The seafood department is a plus. Very nice people work at this location and they are very helpful.
Every time I buy potatoes there are always a few rotten ones. The new bowl and basket products are horrible. Most, not all, of the cashiers are not friendly, and basically miserable. Some back up the line with long conversations with customers. While it is polite to greet a customer and say have a nice day, the cashiers should be cognizant of the fact that the other customers in line need to check out quickly and don't want to wait while a long conversation is happening. One recently snapped at me for no reason. The express line was eliminated to force people to use self checkout. Not happening and you're not getting to ram self checkout down my throat. It's bad enough that I have to bring my own bags. You get my money and now you expect me to scan my items, pay and bag everything. Have these stores lost their minds? unbelievable! So you eliminate cashiers or cut their hours to save on salary expense- cashiers who are trying to make a living and feed their families. Shameful! I do have to say that the ladies at the courtesy counter are nice despite the fact that they appear to be overworked and flustered at times. I find mistakes on my receipt frequently and now have to check my receipt before I leave the parking lot. The bakery stopped selling jelly rolls and lemon rolls which I used to purchase. The price of eggs is ridiculous. I get my eggs at Walmart for $2.12 a dozen. Shoprite $4.99 and up. Why are signs posted about product shortages but there are no shortages at other stores? The meat prices are ridiculous unless you hit a sale. I now purchase my my meats elsewhere and shop at more affordable places. Sounds like greed to me. Ps. I sometimes but rarely shop at the ShopRite on Chews Landing rd only when there's a good sale because the cashiers are very nice. One in particular named Laurie. She's alway upbeat, friendly, courteous and efficient.
This ShopRite is outdated, dirty and backwards. The first thing I noticed was the chained up shopping carts. You have to pay a quarter to get a cart. That means you have to walk back to the store to return the cart. What an inconvenience. Do they even like their customers here? There also the largest sign in front stating they have camera surveillance. When I say huge, I mean HUGE!. Then when you enter there's a guy yelling at people that the entrance is one way. If everyone he yelled at was like me then they went back out looking for the carts. Who knew you had to pay bail for a cart. Hire a cart guy and build cart corrals. What if I was an elderly disabled veteran with no change or cash? I'd guess I would have to balance everything in one arm. Okay let's shoot to the checkout. The self check out lady came and planted herself right next to me while I was checking out.no smile, no are you okay, just a stern look. I like ShopRite but not this one. It's straight out of the mid 80's.
