The staff was incredibly friendly, and our waiter was attentive, answering all our questions about the drinks and entrees. They offer unlimited chips with salsa, and I have to say, the salsa was outstanding! The portions for the entrees were quite generous and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. There was a drink special for a pitcher of Margarita for $18, but I opted for a glass of Moscato, which was around $6 and a decent size. My friend went with a Corona beer garnished with a lime wedge. The atmosphere was pleasant and comfortable, with most diners dressed in casual attire, like jeans. They also have outdoor seating options, including benches and dining areas. Overall, it was a great experience!
We also encountered a rather awkward situation, possibly due to new staff members (it seems many restaurants are struggling to find help). When our server came to take drink orders, I asked for a chardonnay. She looked confused, and I inquired if they even served wine. She said she wasn’t sure and would have to check. After she left, a different server approached us, asking what we wanted. I explained that another server had already visited. He huddled over to speak with the original server at a nearby table. Moments later, a third server approached and asked if there was a special request for wine. I was starting to feel embarrassed at this point. I asked if they had any white wines available. He inquired which kinds, so I listed chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, and pinot grigio. He said he would need to find out again before departing. My husband jokingly urged me to stop sending servers away. Finally, the first server returned with the news that all they had was moscato. I’m not particularly picky, but I don't care for sweet wines, so I opted for a margarita instead, knowing it also tends to be sweet. The relief on his face was palpable, and I felt a bit guilty since I usually enjoy a glass of wine at Mexican restaurants. He left to place the order, leading yet another server to come over and ask if we were ready to order food.
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant for lunch on a Sunday. The service was quick and friendly. I ordered the mole poblano, which featured shredded chicken smothered in a delicious mole sauce that was both sweet and mildly spicy. The sauce had a rich, complex flavor that paired well with the relatively simple side dishes. I’ll definitely return to sample more of their offerings!
Very good food for a first time experience love the coconut margarita
The food was descent. Staff was friendly. The reason for two stars was that they charge extra for everything. Things that are normally included like guac, side salad, choosing flour tortillas over corn, etc, were extra charges. For instance the small amount of guac my wife got was $4. They also charged $11 for a medium margarita when the menu says its $9. With a $5 tip our bill was $60. Normally we get the same amount of food/drinks etc, for $40 $45, sometimes cheaper depending on where we are. It was not worth $60.
