Giovanni's - Cleveland

Love this restaurant. I have tried almost everything at this restaurant many many times. Great service great food. Everything on the menu is fantastic except the CAB hanger steak that is on the bar menu. I highly recommend 99% of the food at this restaurant except this CAB steak which is the worst and toughest steak you'll ever order.

My husband and I chose to celebrate our Anniversary at Giovanni’s. What a big disappointment. The restaurant was very loud. Nice place for business dinner but not for a romantic evening. My glass of wine was average. Only one to choose from. My husband’s pasta was way over cooked. I had the scallops. They were cooked well but, there were big chunks of cauliflower and whole pistachio nuts. The dish lacked cohesiveness. Salad drowning in dressing. Cup of lobster bisque not good. The service was awful. It was our server’s first day. Obviously very inexperienced. Constant apologizing and one mishap after another. Dinner took a very long time to come out. Kept offering bread. Brought wrong desert. I blame the management. Perhaps the server should have started her training during the lunch hour. At the end of the meal the server was apologetic, blamed the chef for the poor experience and asked if we would be coming back. I informed that we would not. I have dined in many fine restaurants and am disappointed that I picked this one to celebrate my Anniversary.

This was my first visit to this restaurant. The food, drinks, atmosphere, and service were all fantastic. The service was a bit slow due to how busy the restaurant was, but the food was fresh. I would definitely recommend this place.

Great day to have Fabulous food in the outdoor seating. Same great service and white table linens. We'll protected from the traffic on Chagrin.

The New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc was incredible. I also had a very good brownie type dessert, but the potato gnocchi was not very good. It was passable, but I was hoping for better. I would return, but I would order something else.
