Waffle House - Clinton

We needed a break from driving but not too long of a break. So we stopped for lunch here and i was so surprised. With the confederate statue out front i was nervous my husband might have issues or at the least some odd stares but it was fine! The staff was so friendly! And the food! I really want expecting much but pleasantly surprised by the quantity and quality. Loved the shrimp and burger. Skip hush puppies though. No bueno.

The food and the price were perfect for the food we ate. This Clinton restaurant must be one of the best restaurants. The staff was very friendly and fast. The overall experience was good and I would recommend this restaurant if you were looking for dinner food.

Small town restaurant. Forget to get pictures. Great food. Omelets are abundant. Some of the best French toast ever. It was lunch, great burgers. Don't miss this little jewel. On the way to the lake.

Hubby had the Country Feast w/country fried steak and domestic frits. The steak was thick, juicy and covered in sawmill engraving. His only regret was not the addition of mushrooms and onions. I had the conductor Omelet w/ Steak and Cheddar. This dish just missed the sign for me because the spinach was not sawed. The Gries were tasteful, but they needed to cook a little longer. All in a good country breakfast!!

If you happen to be in the area, Steamer will definitely stop. Great service, good selection of menu options, good prices, large portions, good small town / homemade food, cute little town. We parked right in front of the restaurant, but the roads are a little surprised, so if you have a longer vehicle you can park over the street. Loved our lunch experience and would recommend it.
