The Other Place Clive

I think every IPA drinker will say the same. IPA 's aren 't really that good, but I still love drinking them and I can 't really explain why . Well to start the Des Moines IPA was actually good! First one I can actually say I loved the flavor. A little stunned excepting nothing more I ordered the Spinich and artichoke dip to snack on. It was top notch. It felt high quality. Did they serve it out of a bag? I don 't really know, but it tastes like they ground up all theingredients themselves. It was thick and layered. Absolutely so good. I would go out of my way to come back just for a spinach and artichoke dip, and to me that 's amazingly funny.

The pizza (maui) was ok but the crust had no flavor and the pineapple tasted like warm beer.

Appetizer: sampler. Chicken tenders, onion rings, mushrooms, and mozzarella sticks. All were absolutely delicious. Taco pizza, it was delicious had a little spice it. Red Velvet cake for dessert, also delicious.

I've fallen in love with The Other Place. They have a great staff, really good pizza wings, the set up is great for those who want to either dine in or sit at the bar, plus they have a patio! Plenty of TVs showing most if not all current sports games. Their music selection is also awesome!

Chill atmosphere. The chip dip trio was a great appetizer, all 3 dips (salsa, queso spinach) were full of flavor. The food came out in a decent time but it took a while for our waiter to check in had to be found after waiting for over 20 min to ask for our check. Give our waiter some credit that it got busy and he seemed to have a lot of tables! So I can't say if that's normal. My husband had the taco pizza that was a special and greatly enjoyed it. Would recommend itfor a low key family or couple dinner/lunch. A place you can wear the comfy clothes.
