The Whale's Tail - Clonakilty

Food was nice. There was a lot of broken mussel shells in my dish, which can be dangerous. Staff were professional and friendly except for the manageress, who was unwelcoming and ignored us when leaving.

First time in this restaurant. It is a lovely setting. The modern industrial interior contrasts with stunning chandeliers. There's outside seating as well and I spotted some cushions and throws for the comfort of more hardy customers! Excellent service from start to finish. Very professional and pleasant but not the personal West Cork touch you get in some places. They, very obligingly, made up our desserts to go as we had to leave precipitately, which was very kind of them. Very clean and pretty bathroom facilities. You can book online, which we did, and we got an email reminder and link to click to confirm. Very useful. Definitely would go back.

Have been here on several occasions and it never fails to disappoint. Food is always great and the menu changes regularly which helps to keep things interesting every time we come back. On one occasion, one of the staff was a little blunt with us that we arrived 10 minutes early for our meal. But aside from that it’s always been an enjoyable experience

Lovely restaurant in centre Clonakity. The staff were exceptionally friendly and food very tasty. Generous portions and not overly expensive. Would definitely recommend visiting.
