Nonna Clementina's Gourmet - Closter

As first generation Italian I am all about finding a great Italian deli.A friend suggested I try this place. Well I had company and decided to get a 3ft Italian Hero. I picked it up at 3:45pm because they close by 4pm. Wish I would have opened it beforeleaving. It was all bread! Thin slice of ham, cheese and salami. They were cut so thin and barely any lettuce and tomato. Sodisappointed. Never again! Oh and I paid $59.. ridiculous

First time visit for sausage, peppers and onions. Huge onions, loads of peppers sausage sliced so thin and barely visible in the order. Seriously disappointed. First and last time.

I've been going here since it was in the old location and it was great. I went back while visiting my parents and the quality definitely dropped. I also ordered a sandwich with grilled chicken, mozz, and roasted red peppers and they forgot to add thechicken. I went back and unapologetically handed me a new sandwich without roasted red peppers. I called them and they just hungup. Mediocre quality, worse service.

The chicken cutlet with mozzarella and roasted peppers is always a hit. the italian hero is also solid. both are sure crowd pleasers.

I have been coming to Nonna Clementina since I was in high school over 10 years ago. I love the sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich which I just had this morning. I also love the mozzarella, chicken cutlet and roasted red peppers sandwiches.The staff is very hard working and trust me when I say there is a reason Massimo has kept this icon of a deli around so long inCloster! Great quality food and staff. This is a must visit!
