Big Daddy's Diner - Cloudcroft

The food was not good, with an excessive amount of grease and undercooked chicken. The high price did not match the quality of the food. However, our server was excellent and very friendly. The atmosphere was inviting. Overall, the restaurant was not worth the price due to the poor taste of the food.

I really enjoyed this restaurant! The food tasted just like homemade. The staff was extremely friendly and chatty, which I appreciated. I like that they take the time to talk to customers and learn more about them. Some people may not like talking to strangers, but I find that if you chat with someone long enough, you'll discover something in common. And we did. I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast. I can only imagine that the lunch and dinner menu are just as good.

The hash browns resembled fried sponges and didn't taste much better. The syrup container was difficult to pour from; upon removing the cap, it was crusty and unappetizing. It appeared that the cap was simply replaced without being cleaned for the next customer. The service was good, and the rest of the food was flavorful, except for the disappointing hash browns.

Sandwiches are just fine. I can't say that eating here is not good. we didn't order special plates. we only ordered a burger, a monterrey grilled chicken sandwich, a grilled cheese sandwich and fries. of these objects only the pommes were well spiced. all other was bland./ the sweet tee is delicious! and it is served in a traditional maurer jar./ we also ordered a peach-cobbler. that was the most disappointing of all. it wasn't warm and didn't taste good at all. it was probably homemade, but not tasty./ I must add that this is probably the best place to eat in the city. their menu points are actually cooked in the house, not only heated (as with the other grill restaurant on the street.) I would go back to this restaurant.
