Land Cookin is located along Lee Hwy directly at exit 150A from Interstate 81. We had seen some of these places on the way north on the Interstate. We got hungry and we saw this name again and thought we shot him. Our visit here was on July 28, 2019. We came to the place at 3:00. It was not too busy at the time, but also not surprising, as it was really a time between lunch and dinner. We sat immediately and began to look over the menu. Our server was pretty fast to ask us for our drinks orders. After a few minutes he came back and asked if we were ready to order. We asked ourselves about the buffet area we had seen from the table, and he said that this would be taken up with certain entrees and could be done standalone. We needed a few minutes to decide and went to the buffet area to see what was available there. There was more than expected. They had salads, vegetables, potatoes, macaroni and cheese, desserts and much more. When he came back, we were all ready to order. I went with the Grilled Chicken Entree, Cajun style, with frits as the side (and includes the buffet). My mother went with the buffet and my niece went with the child buffet. After the order we went up and used the buffet. I started with some of the potatoes, gravy and macaroni and cheese. A little later, my chicken and pommes came out. The Cajun chicken was really good and also had a great kick. Also the pommes were good, but I concentrated that the pages are more from the buffet area. I finally had some cookies and other desserts available on the buffet. The buffet was also hot and fresh. Our server came and checked us a few times during the meal. Overall, this was a great experience. The name says everything. This is definitely Country Cookin. The building's simple, but don't let it shut down. Pricing is reasonable, based on what you get, so this is a good place also on a budget. You shouldn't be hungry when you're done here. The lower line is the food and service were great here. If you travel and look for another place to eat, this place is definitely worth a review. I will definitely come back when my trips take me back to this area.
They sat immediately and never went without. Staff always polite and friendly. Food was excellent. All you can eat was abundant with all kinds of salads, greens, vegetables and dessert. I can't do anything wrong in the menu. Full place was clean, including bathroom. The view of the mountains from the windows was breathtaking, although it was a rainy day.
With friends for lunch after the church. I haven't been cooking in a country for years (of which we didn't leave) and that was a good meal. I had the salad bar that had enough change without being overwhelming. The tables were well spaced throughout the dining area. Our server, Melody, was attentive and had a great personality. We are all happy to come back soon.
We went to this restaurant for the first time and had an excellent experience! Great food and great service! My fiancé and I both ordered steak and they were cooked perfectly. The salad bar had fruit and desserts as well and everything was amazing! We will definitely be back! We drive tractor trailer and are down from Maine quite often .
