Dante - Cloverdale

OK folks, if you feel like visiting a dive that is frequented by loudmouth drunks, serves cheap drinks, and has an old funky atmosphere this is the place for you! Dante's use to be a hotel 70 years ago when the railroad ran through here but is now just a watering hole for riffraff and other losers looking for a cheap high. I WAS surprised that they had a bottle of Absinthe and even knew the proper way to serve it (poured thru a sugar cube) although it was 13.50 a shot.

****. Apparently this is the only full bar left in Cloverdale after clovers closed. A pit bull chase me on the way there, a way old 90 year old (but hot for her age) bartender served way inexpensive drinks and the place was a super dilapidated house turned bar. The few patrons there were cool and while I thought the place was sweet, it was kind of sketchy. Please bartender don't try to close me outback again while I'm trying to take a leak, I had a chainsaw massacre flashback.

A locals only kind of place. Unless you're cruising by on your bike and need a cold drink and if it's hot out they will surely have the swamp cooler going. No flat screen TV's here just good drinks and friendly people.

We discovered this old home on a corner, down a side street in Cloverdale, as we drifted around town, killing time until a dinner reservation. The neon beer signs suggested a bar, so we went in to check it out. The bar has a pool table, and a juke box with a good variety of music. They are frequented by regulars but were welcoming to strangers coming in. The bartender is a nice guy, attentive and friendly. Fun place, carries light beers and O'Douls as well as a full compliment of liquor. We'll go back

I absolutely adore this place! It's our go-to spot for a beer and a shot whenever we're heading to Boonville. The true locals frequent this place as well, which makes it even better. These are my kind of people. I just love it!
