I was hungry and decided to go to this restaurant to get food for my family on Saturday. I had seen their advertisement on Facebook and wanted to give this new local place a try. According to their Facebook page, they were supposed to be open until 9 pm. However, when I arrived at 8 o'clock, they had already closed. The sign on the door clearly stated that they were open from Monday through Saturday until 9 PM, but they had closed an hour early and claimed that the sign was outdated.
I am impressed with this new Mexican restaurant, which has become my favorite spot for Mexican food. The portions are much larger than those at 559 and the flavor of the meat is outstanding. I ordered the chicken burrito and it was very filling with the perfect balance of meat, beans, and rice. I also tried their tacos and was impressed with the excellent marinade on the meat, which is crucial for good tacos. No other restaurant can compare in terms of the quality and quantity of meat in their dishes.
The food is terrible, but the restaurant is exceptionally clean. The taste is so bad that it feels like you're eating cleaning detergent. Despite being Mexican-owned, the food doesn't taste authentic. However, I will give credit where it's due - the place is very clean.
El Jr tacos, with your hand-made flour tortillas infused with melted cheese and your juicy barbacoa topped with bacon, where have you been all my life? Is it that you've spent these years layering in the roasted green chile, becoming the taco I've needed you to be?
