Kijima Japanese Restaurant - Clovis

Very delicious teriyaki. I ordered the chicken / rice / Tempoura combo and came with a salad and a side of noodles. Very nice service. Was very nice for just one delivery order. Many parking spaces. A little difficult to see from the street. Overall a great place with great food, as much as I can tell from a visit.

Kijima is easily one of the best Japanese restaurants I've eaten in a while. Right off the bat, the atmosphere is warm and inviting while remaining calm and quiet. Our server was amazing! She was incredibly friendly throughout the entire meal and really made us feel welcome there. And the food was superb! I ordered a combination lunch plate with teriyaki steak and shrimp and veggie tempura. The steak was cooked perfectly and was amazingly tender. It was served alongside a small dish of teriyaki sauce which meant you could season your meat the way you wanted to. The tempura was cooked perfectly and had an excellent crunch to the batter. My dining partner ordered the pork katsudon and raved about it to me afterward, saying it was better even than they could make. I'm already planning a return trip to Kijima. If you're fond of good Japanese food and you're looking for a pleasant lunch spot, try stopping by Kijima.

We went here for a birthday and they had enough seating for our group of 8. I ordered the Mackerel Saba. It was perfect. They had plenty of roll options for us to try and they also had yakisoba on the menu, which my family loved.
