You can see from my video the steamed egg is like soft boiled one. The recommended way of eating is to start with the edge because the lava at the centre is extremely hot. You will have to wait about 10 mins if you order the hot one. The boss, who is 73 yrs old, will steam it for you right away. The egg white and the taste of milk is so strong. Rare to see freshly made steamed milk pudding. Very good and not overly sweet as usual.
Finally tried this place where only one dessert served — Double-layer Milk Custard 流心雙皮奶 hot or cold Can tell it’s truly different from others with the subtlety and fineness
It serves only one custard dessert, freshly made in 10 minutes or already chilled. Kinda expensive but not too bad in taste and worthwhile as a respect for an artisan. For such price, I hope that the shop uses non-disposable spoons though.
When a restaurant sells only one item, you know it's gotta be good. This steam milk pudding is made to order (hot), has the perfect balance between milk and egg white and is just mildly sweet. I like hot more than chilled. Really good!
