I'm always trying to find a good vegan afternoon tea in Surrey and that was great. I was really happy to see so many vegan options (breakfast, lunch and tea). They also do gluten-free options. The Scoone was delicious and warm. Next step is for them to find a vegan cream instead of vegan butter, but options were very appreciated.
This non-vegan restaurant offers a surprisingly extensive menu for vegans. The breakfast and lunch options were tempting, but I decided to try the vegan afternoon tea. I got to choose 2 sandwiches from a selection of 4, all of which were creative and delicious. I loved the olive grove with cucumber and vegan cheese, as well as the onion chutney. The gluten-free scones were served warm and soft, and paired perfectly with the vegan butter, bread, and jam. The top layer of cake was particularly delicious, with two generous portions of desserts - a Lotus Biscoff cheesecake and a black currant mousse and biscuit cake. While they didn't have almond milk for tea, they did offer oats as an alternative. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making for a delightful dining experience.
I would never dine at this restaurant because they do not offer any vegan options and even make misleading statements like "you would be surprised that they are vegan."
I am constantly on the lookout for a good vegan afternoon tea in Surrey, and this place did not disappoint. I was pleased to find a variety of vegan options available for breakfast, lunch, and tea, as well as gluten-free options. The scone I tried was delicious and served warm. It would be nice if they offered a vegan cream alternative to go with the scone instead of vegan butter, but overall I appreciated the variety of options available.
