We decided to try Mr. Sub in downtown Cobourg for a change. I ordered the Teriyaki chicken base. There was so little chicken that if there was really a $7 salad sub. We'll go back to the subway next time.
The woman, possibly named Pauline (apologies if that's incorrect), carefully prepares your sandwich and it is incredibly fresh and delicious. I visited twice because she makes the best sub I've ever had!
There isn't much space to dine, but it's sufficient when necessary. The food is fresh, the service is good, and it's conveniently located. It's just a few blocks away from the subway, making it a convenient option for many.
My wife and I attended this restaurant on Canada Day at noon during the parade that marched by. I ordered a Canadian Club Submarine sandwich, and my wife had a meatball sub. We requested they be heated. The subs were placed in a microwave oven...for way too long. The result was that the bread was rubbery, the cheese melted well into the wrappers, and the taste was also mangled. Will go back, but mot for a heated sandwich.
