Lester's Diner - Coconut Creek

My wife and I took our five year old granddaughter to breakfast at the Margate Lester’s Diner this morning. We have been customers for twenty-five years or more. We ask for and were given a booster for our granddaughter. She can’t fit in a high chair and can’t reach the table from the chair. We have never had a problem with getting a booster but after we received breakfast the waitress came to the table and said the manager sent her to tell us we couldn’t use the booster due to insurance regulations. When we starting asking questions the waitress brought back a nasty manager who said we had two choices, my granddaughter could sit in a high chair or on a chair. I guess this is the new child unfriendly Lester’s Diner. She told us a child had fallen off the chair in a booster and they couldn’t use them anymore. They make boosters with straps but I guess that would cost them money and that wasn’t given as a future choice. I don’t know why the booster was available and given to us in the first place, if they weren’t permitted to be used. I would also like to know why the nasty manager waited to tell us until after the meal was delivered. They lost a loyal customer.

Laster's is more of a restaurant than a diner, but all the traditional diner food is available. We particularly love their home-made soups, and their burgers are excellent, served on Kaiser Rolls. Recently tried their cheese blintzes: about a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10. They also make a terrific rice pudding and their bread pudding is above average. A little dryer than I like (I prefer bread pudding more like a custard) but very tasty. They have a pretty large menu of lunch and dinner dishes, but we mainly go ther for soup, a sandwich and dessert.

The food at Lesters is always good never disappoints. the Chopped Sirloin Steak was huge. the Roasted Turkey was enough to make a sandwich with the leftovers. well worth the cost

Hard to find a good diner down here in the south, but Lesters is consistently very good food. We have ordered a variety of things several times, and all was good each time.

My whole meal was delicious. Plenty of food,great flavor.Will definitely order from them again. Roast beef-right and the Onion rings hit the spot
