I had hoped to actually visit the oyster beds, but instead, we were only shown the empty baskets that oysters are placed in while they grow. I also expected a knowledgeable oyster grower to explain the process, but instead, we had a casual worker leading the tour, who joked about drinking and adult toys and had only been doing these tours since December 5th. This made the experience feel lacking in authenticity. To top it off, we were given just four oysters to shuck and enjoy. We also ordered the seafood platter, which was also quite underwhelming considering the price we paid. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this tour and suggest looking for a more genuine oyster experience with another operator.
Fantastic tour! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. It was so much fun, and our guides, Rosa and Margaux, made it incredibly enjoyable. One piece of constructive feedback I have is that it would be great to have more oysters included for the price of the tour.
An absolutely immersive experience that you must have when visiting Coffin Bay! Rob, a marine biologist from Liverpool, is an incredibly knowledgeable, funny, and polite tour leader, full of fascinating underwater stories delivered in his unforgettable accent. He provided each of us with a unique experience, patiently teaching us how to shuck oysters, including a special technique for left-handed individuals, which is a skill that only 13% of the population remembers. We waded out to the in-water oyster bar, carefully navigating through the oyster beds (we definitely didn’t want to disturb those little ones!). From our seats at the bar, we enjoyed spectacular views of manta rays, pelicans, and various types of seabirds.

My partner and I paid $120 each to get picked up in a dirty car with no air con when we arrive at coffin bay I find out we are to sit in the hot sun . I explained no I am not going to do this my hubby did and his face was burnt Brochure states “Savour a glass of Sth Aust Riesling” but only if you order and pay before hand! So I asked for my half a dozen oysters as I didn’t get any or a part refund and I was told NO! Then we had to wait for our return drive while manager had his lunch! So $120 later and all I got was a ride in a dirty hot car Would not recommend could have gone to fish shop or restaurant and had a big seafood meal ! Poor very Poor
