Golden Crown Chinese Restaurant

The food was not bad but it did have a taste to it which was a little different. I ordered the satay chicken, fried rice and short soup. I had to discard the short soup as it had a smell that was not as I expected. The fried rice also was a little different. The satay chicken was okay but lacked chicken.

This was the worst Chinese food I've ever had in my life, and incredibly expensive for the quality. Some of the food tasted strange, and the fried rice tasted store bought. The noodles were stale the chicken and corn soup tasted like canned cream chicken soup. Would NOT recommend

Lovely food - both the prawn in plum sauce and the duck in plum sauce too were very good. It was a bit noisy sitting on the pavement and would sit inside another time

After a warm welcome and attentive service the 3 meals we ordered were a real let down. Don't know if its in the oil they use to cook or not but there was an odd, same aftertaste in the special fried rice and combination noodles that was not nice. In the Satay Prawns , the sauce was rich and plentiful but poor quality and I would guess not made fresh on the premises and not too many prawns . BYO wine is accepted and we had to drink plenty to hide the odd taste of our meals.

I'm not much of a fussy eater but every meal that came out smelt and tasted very strange. It was as if it was reheated. The fried rice smelt like dry old sponge and tasted dry. Our pork dish seemed like it was cooked in a bowl of salt and the satay chicken came out looking like it was boiled in muddy water. My family and I live in Sydney and love our Chinese. Definitely the worse Chinese food I've ever tasted and very overpriced. This place should close their doors. Very disappointed! DO NOT EAT THERE!! The chef should be kicked in the shins with steel capped boots as he was very rude and naive about his below average cooking.
