Contribuisci feedbackIt was my husband's birthday, he has wanted to dine at Rib Eye for sometime, so our party of seven decided to indulge ourselves for this special occasion. We would like to offer some constructive criticism. The decor is very nice however there is no resemblance of a steak house more like a beach house, which is fine considering its in a beach town. The wait staff need much more training as this is what we understand you are trying to portray. We ordred a cob loaf which was ok, but seemed to be store baught and just heated up. No bread and butter plates and knives on the table were brought to us. We orderd two bottles of wine, we had no wine glasses when the wine was brought to the table,the caps were unscrewed and put on the table and walked away, we had to ask for the wine glasses the next time she came over. The Chef may have been having a bad start to the night or they put an inexperienced chef on the grill station as they didn't know how to achieve the correct temperature on a steak. Five out of seven guests had the ribeye, none of the steaks were cooked the way we had requested. One guest had the pork ribs, they seamed to heve been steamed and then a bit of sauce thrown on them, they very little flavour if any. Another guest had salmon which I believe was quite good. At the end of the meal they only offered a dessert for all of the wrongly cooked meals. We asked if they could just bring one for the BIRTHDAY guy. The server then came to ask him if he wanted a candle in it, which ruined the surprise. We were excited to have a new place to go for a good steak and special occasions, but sadly we probably won't be returning anytime soon.
The worst experience at a so called restaurant they have ruined what used to be a great place to eat before so called reno ,one meal came 3 times wrong if so called chefs want to prepare their way and not listen to customers we will not be back. The noise is so bad up there with the design you feel like you are boxed in the night we were there people moved to the outside area because of the noise. Food and service downstairs is a lot better.
Took my father out for fathers day ordered two scotch fillet steaks both medium rare one with chips and salad the other with mash and veg one with mushroom sauce the other with pepper sauce both come out over done and with the wrong sauces so say something and get two more meals to come out exactly the same the presentation of meals was no where near restaurant quality not good at all for a First experience not sure interior design either but that place is so Bland and has no character, vibe or personality pick you act up 0 stars
Closed down so don’t bother with previous reviews or recommendation. For good food I would suggest going to the Gold Coast instead and avoid the horrendous food scene in Coffs Harbour altogether. It’s ****.
I have dined at various restaurants throughout Australia, and I have never waited more than 60 minutes for a meal to be served after ordering. However, at Ribeye on Vernon, it took a frustrating 2 hours for our first meal to arrive. Since this was a special birthday dinner, I was extremely disappointed and will not be returning. I live in Coffs Harbour, and if there was an issue in the kitchen, they should have been transparent with the patrons.
