The food was absolutely delicious we ordered the guacamole and tortilla chips to start, followed by the pumpkin and lentil soup and vegetarian ceviche and chicken tacos. Each dish was a delight, so fresh, full of flavour and each with it's own creative twist. My soup came with a lovely dollop of fresh cream, pumpkin seeds and fresh edible flowers on top. My gin and tonic even had rose petals. You can feel the love and passion go into each creation. We will definitely be back and I highly recommend you go!
Having lived in Portugal for over a year, we often tire of the sameness of Portuguese food, so finding a restaurant with such a unique menu and fresh, vibrant flavors is cause for celebration! We ordered a variety of dishes to sample and enjoyed each one, but the standouts for us were the tomato and quinoa soup and the prawn tacos. Oh, and the fresh made guacamole superb! My one critique would be for some spicier options, but hey, this is Portugal, after all!
The term hidden gem, is used tooo often to describe...nice places.. wrongly so. This one is a true gem of good food and autentic service, just like a remote village in Jalisco, but better. Sublime tacos, burritos and enchiladas, with true flavours no false sauces, all the elements shine in this godsend food. Been there 7 Times.a must in Coimbra.
We had a great meal and exceptional wine for an awesome price. It is kind of out of the way but a very good find. We highly recommend this to anyone in the area!
So we saw the great and only one review and thought that it would be a charming little gem. The room restaurant is basically a box with no window. The decor is very poor and I just wish they made us travel with a little bit more attention to the decoration. It's a Latino Mexican food restaurant for goodness sake! Make me want to spend money on those cocktail!! We had the selection of Tacos. Those were very poor quality.. a little bit of food in the middle with no additional salad or cheese on top.. We had also tortillas crisps with guacamole that was unfortunately not made with fresh avocado but probably from a tube... I think the menu choices are too diverse, better to be good at few things rather than try to impress too much. In other words don't get fooled by the photos on the website... it's not quite what you get. Sorry I know it sounds a bit harsh but that is my honest opinion.
