We were surprised when we found this place tucked on a charming cobblestone street in the center of historic Coimbra, this restaurant is a true hidden gem for anyone craving an authentic taste of Portugal. From the moment you step through the door, you're welcomed like family into a warm and inviting atmosphere. My wife and I don't repeat places, but this one three times in a week. Every time we were surprised by the owners with tastings of the rich variety of wines and Portuguese kitchen.

Do not hesitate … excellent food and ambience. Gonçalo is an excellent chef and his staff is warm and friendly. Don’t miss it.

Wonderful off the main grid place in town center. Kind, attentive folks with original Portuguese dishes all from first principle right off the grill/stovetop. Excellent blend of cornbread, cabbage and beans, like migas, with fantastic bacalhau. I’ll be coming back when I’m in Coimbra. Thanks!

Maravilhoso lugar fora da rede principal no centro da cidade. Gente simpática e atenciosa com pratos originais portugueses, tudo de primeira, direto da grelha/fogão. Excelente mistura de broa de milho, couve e feijão, tipo migas, com fantástico bacalhau. Voltarei quando estiver em Coimbra. Obrigado!
