Mo's Pizza - Cold Lake

I should have followed my instincts and got out of this restaurant as soon as I walked in. This place was dead at lunch time on a Friday afternoon. Not a good sign. This restaurant serves pizza and donairs. I ordered a Jumbo Donair. With no roll of Donair meat rotating on the grill, you quickly realize that the Donair meat is pre cooked and left uncovered in a container in the fridge. The meat is then put in the pizza oven to warm up, with an occasional finger press to see if its hot enough. The Donair meat was wrapped in a large dry pita (not steamed, like a proper Donair should be wrapped in). I don't like lettuce on my Donair, as I feel it is just filler, with no taste. I opted for Onions, tomatoes, cheese and sweet Donair sauce. The Donair didn't taste very good. The sauce wasn't very authentic. Although Donair meat isn't always the best quality, this meat was a very cheap, low quality meat. I'll leave it at that. It's no surprise this place is empty. I'm not sure what the pizzas are like, but I'm guessing it's not much better.

Ate here twice on an extended stay in Cold Lake. Fresh ingredients, nice sauce and crust, friendly service and reasonable prices. This has become my favourite stop for pizza in town.

We order the large two for one deal they have, the pizza is good but the size is more like a medium and is over priced just like everything else in cold lake.

This is the best pizza that I have eaten Personally speaking. Ham ,pineapple, mushrooms .... mmmmmmmmmmmmm You can't beat their 2 for 1 deals.
